Head coach Quique Sanchez Flores has refused to say if he wants to stay at Watford with reports claiming he will leave the club this summer.

The Hornets boss has a break clause in his two-year contract at the end of this season and there is persistent speculation Flores will depart after the final game of their Premier League campaign.

Watford have said no decision on Flores' future will be taken until the end of the season after discussions with the head coach and have stressed they are very happy with the job he has done this season.

But when asked if he wanted to remain at the club, Flores said: “This is not the question for me now. I need to focus on the next four matches and this is not the question for me now.

"It is not the question because it’s not a good moment for that."

It has been suggested owner Gino Pozzo has grown increasingly concerned with the Hornets' poor form during the second half of the season with just three Premier League wins in their last 17 matches.

Watford reached the FA Cup semi-final but their performance at Wembley was a big disappointment and did little to quell the speculation over Flores' future.

Some supporters will see the potential exit of Flores as harsh considering he has kept the team in the top flight following last season's promotion.

The Spaniard was asked if he felt appreciated by everyone at the club for the job he has done this season.

Flores said: “For sure by the fans because I know they enjoy and appreciate how difficult it was. I don’t know [about anyone else]."
