Troy Deeney has won the Watford Observer Player of the Season for the last two years but who will potentially succeed the Hornets captain and become the next recipient of the prestigious award?

It is time for you to help decide as voting is now open to find Watford’s top performer of the current Premier League season.

Deeney became the ninth Hornets player to win the award for a second time 12 months ago. But if he completes the hat-trick in 2016 he will make history because the accolade has never been claimed by the same player three years in succession.

However, fellow consistent performers Heurelho Gomes, Craig Cathcart and Ben Watson are also expected to poll strongly, as is top scorer Odion Ighalo after hitting the back of the net 16 times to date in the 2015/16 campaign.

Voting is also open for the Goal of the Season in which Ighalo, unsurprisingly perhaps given the quantity he has scored, leads the way with half of the ten shortlisted nominations.

Voting closes at midnight on Sunday, May 8.
