Watford defender Jose Holebas started Greece's 2-1 international friendly win in Australia.

Playing in a left-sided midfield role, Holebas was given 65 minutes before being replaced by Lazaros Christodoulopoulos.

Petros Mantalos fired the Greeks into the lead after eight minutes in the match at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne.

Greece made it 2-0 in the first half when Giannis Maniatis scored from distance.

Australia pulled one back after the break through a header from Trent Sainsbury.

Holebas also played 45 minutes as a substitute in their 1-0 defeat to Australia in the first friendly on Saturday.

The 31-year-old made 13 appearances for the Hornets last season with his last game coming in April's 3-1 defeat at West Ham.
