Watford defender Juan Carlos Paredes started Ecuador's 2-2 draw against Peru in the Copa America last night.
Ecuador found themselves in trouble after falling 2-0 behind inside the opening 13 minutes of the game in Arizona.
Enner Valencia pulled one back for Ecuador and Paredes was replaced at the start of the second half.
Miller Bolanos equalised for Ecuador to leave them with two draws from their opening games.
Paredes' side will have to win their final group game against Haiti this weekend to have a chance of reaching the knockout stage.
