Watford defender Juan Carlos Paredes helped Ecuador defeat Haiti 4-0 to reach the Copa America quarter-finals.
Paredes played the whole match as Ecuador finished second in the group to secure a knockout tie against the United States.
Enner Valencia opened the scoring before Jaime Ayovi doubled their lead.
Christian Noboa made it 3-0 before Antonio Valencia rounded off the scoring.
Paredes' side will take on the hosts in their last-eight tie on Friday in Seattle.
Ecuador reached the quarter-finals with Brazil missing out on qualification from the group after their 1-0 defeat to Peru.
Meanwhile, Hornets defender Daniel Pudil was an unused substitute in the Czech Republic's 1-0 defeat to Spain at Euro 2016 this afternoon.
Pudil's side looked like frustrating the defending champions but Gerard Pique headed Spain's 87th minute winner in Toulouse.
