Reports in the national media claim Watford will hold a board meeting tomorrow to discuss Troy Deeney's future with Leicester City expected to make a £30m offer for the striker.

The Hornets rejected a £25m bid from the Premier League champions at the weekend and reiterated the captain was not for sale.

But national reports have suggested Deeney wants to hold talks with the Foxes and is tempted by Champions League football next season.

Leicester have made the striker one of their main targets this summer and are expected to return with an offer in the region of £30m in an effort to land the Watford talisman.

It is believed the Hornets will have to pay 25 per cent of any fee over £500,000 to Walsall after signing him from the Saddlers six years ago.

Watford are determined to hold onto the 27-year-old with the influential skipper playing a key role in keeping the club in the Premier League last season.

But if Deeney wants to move to Claudio Ranieri's side it will be difficult for the club to keep him and Leicester will be hoping their next bid is enough to persuade the Hornets to sell him.
