Watford have been linked with a move for Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina.
According to reports in Italy, the Hornets have tabled an offer for the Gabon international.
The 22-year-old is out of favour at Juventus, despite joining permanently from Marseille in April, with the Italian champions looking to sell him or send him out on loan.
But a source in Italy has indicated Watford are not likely to sign Lemina with Stoke City and champions Leicester City interested in the £20m rated international.
Lemina is considered a defensive midfielder and the Hornets are believed to be targeting an attacking player as Walter Mazzarri finalises his squad for the new season.
Watford's interest in Sofiane Boufal has been well publicised and the Premier League side are in the market for a creative player which suggests Lemina may not fit into their plans.
