Roberto Pereyra is keen on a move to join Watford, sources close to the player have confirmed to the Watford Observer.
The 25-year-old Argentine midfielder has been touted with a move from current club Juventus, with Napoli, Watford and West Ham all linked with his signature during the summer.
He has featured only sparingly in Turin since he signed permanently from Udinese, a Pozzo-owned club, a year ago.
But the previous season, when on loan with the Old Lady, he featured heavily as they won Serie A, the Coppa Italia and reached the Champions League final.
His representatives met with officials at Napoli last month but a deal never materialised, and now we have been told he has his eyes firmly set on a move to the Premier League and Vicarage Road.
Pereyra has primarily been deployed as a winger but can also play centrally – and may be seen as the player to fill the vacant number eight shirt in Walter Mazzarri's squad.
