Watford have brought defender Adrian Mariappa back to the club for his second spell at Vicarage Road.
The 29-year-old has agreed a three-year deal with the Hornets after his contract at Crystal Palace expired last month.
Mariappa, who left the club in 2012, made 247 appearances during his first spell at Watford after coming through their academy.
The versatile defender also won the club's player of the season in the 2011-12 campaign.
Mariappa will wear the number six shirt and could make his second debut at West Ham United a week on Saturday.
The Jamaica international spent three seasons at Selhurst Park where he made 49 appearances.
The return of Mariappa will add more competition in defence for Walter Mazzarri's side.
But it is expected the club could move several players on before the transfer window shuts tomorrow with players such as Juan Carlos Paredes out of favour.
