Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri has described Zlatan Ibrahimovic as an immortal player ahead of tomorrow's clash with Manchester United.

The Hornets host Jose Mourinho's side at Vicarage Road in the televised match and summer arrival Ibrahimovic is expected to be a key threat for the visitors.

Mazzarri said: "He is the type of player I call an immortal player. Unfortunately I have played against him many times because he is a great player who can make the difference on the pitch. He’s a very complete player.

“We will try as we always do, with the great players we have in front of us, to limit their capabilities and qualities but it’s very difficult to stop them completely. What we can guarantee is we will try for sure."

But the Watford boss knows his team will have to be wary of United's whole team and cannot just focus on the Swedish icon.

Mazzarri said: “I also want to add it’s very important for us to keep in mind Manchester United is not only Ibrahimovic.

"They have also great quality players such as Marouane Fellaini and Wayne Rooney. We have to be very careful and we could continue saying all the players.

"They have a great squad and we have to be careful on all the positions in the pitch."
