Head coach Walter Mazzarri could not hide his disappointment after Watford's dismal defeat at Burnley this evening.

The Hornets lost 2-0 at Turf Moor in their Premier League clash in a match where Mazzarri's side misfired badly.

Watford failed to score for the first time this season and could have no complaints about the defeat against Sean Dyche's side.

Mazzarri said: “Of course I’m very disappointed. This was a game that had to prove that we could do better after Manchester United [last weekend's win]. Now it’s a moment to reflect and we wanted to have continuity. We didn’t and I will speak tomorrow with my players.

“I will speak tomorrow about why we were not that good today. Aside from the fact they scored both from set pieces, I’m not very happy with the performance.

"Until today I always said all the performances were actually very good and we were growing each game. Today we stopped this and now we have to find again our good performance level."
