Walter Mazzarri believes Saturday's opponents Swansea City are in a false position and will prove a difficult challenge for Watford.
New Swansea boss Bob Bradley will take charge of his first home game with the side languishing second bottom in the table.
But Mazzarri is adamant their opponents are better than their current status and will provide a stern test.
The Watford head coach said: “Usually when you change a coach the team always have a positive reaction on the pitch.
"Swansea have already shown against Arsenal that they have been playing much better. They played very well against Arsenal.
“Swansea are a very good team that deserve more points than they have so far.
"Even under Francesco Guidolin they were playing good football for many moments so they are a very good team and in their stadium it’s a team we have to be aware of.”
