No decision has been made over the future of Watford striker Adalberto Penaranda, the player's agent has told the Watford Observer.

The agency which represents the player, Go Pro Sports Management, said this evening they had "not contemplated" any move for the Venezuelan, who is currently on loan at Udinese, but has barely featured for the Italian side.

He is yet to make his debut in a Hornets shirt, having signed - bizarrely from Udinese, a fellow Pozzo-owned side - earlier this year.

But Penaranda, 19, is a hotly-rated talent; earlier this year, he was linked with Real Madrid, and this week reports have emerged in both South America and Spain that Europa League champions Sevilla are chasing his signature.

Los Rojiblancos have found regular strikers Wissam Ben Yedder and Luciano Vietto in unspectacular form so far this season, and are said to have the Watford youngster in their sights - after he scored one of his five goals on loan at Granada last season against them.

But his agency confirmed to the Observer tonight: "At the moment we have not contemplated any loan for Adalberto Penaranda.

"He is currently recuperating from an ankle injury, and we hope that close to December we can make the best decision for the player together with Watford."

Penaranda was ruled out of Udinese's 3-1 win over Pescara on Sunday by his injury, but has featured in the matchday squad nine times since his season-long move from Vicarage Road.

In that time, he has made a single start, playing an hour in the club's 1-0 defeat at Sassuolo last month, but has featured for only 69 minutes more in the rest of the league season so far.
