Walter Mazzarri refused to set a date for a potential Isaac Success return but admitted the 20-year-old striker would definitely miss this weekend's game with Hull City.

The young Watford forward was injured in the Hornets' 1-0 win at Middlesbrough a fortnight ago, and missed last weekend's stalemate at Swansea.

It looks certain Odion Ighalo will instead partner Troy Deeney against the Tigers on Saturday, and Mazzarri said the news was "not needed".

"Unfortunately Success won’t be available for Saturday," he said. "We are preparing in the best possible way and we know it won’t be an easy game.

"We didn’t need this injury. He was a player giving us a lot of satisfaction, and as a professional he was growing a lot on the pitch. It was something we didn’t need and I’m very sad about it.

"Unfortunately it looks like not being a slight injury. We’ll be able to be more precise after the international break."

There is better news for Daryl Janmaat, who will be in the squad for the first time since Watford beat Manchester United on September 18.

Mazzarri added: "It is a matter of deciding whether he will start on the pitch or bench, but he will be available.

"He is ideal to the wing-back role. He will be ready 100 per cent and will be able to give the most of anyone in that role."

Stefano Okaka is also likely to return to the fold at Liverpool on November 6, while Kenedy is still unavailable with injury, with no imminent return likely.
