A host of Championship clubs are interested in taking Watford striker Jerome Sinclair on loan in January, but the former Liverpool man is instead hopeful of breaking into Walter Mazzarri's plans.

Sources close to the player have told the Watford Observer Brighton, Bristol City, Norwich, Wolves and Brentford have all expressed an interest in taking the 20-year-old on loan in January, should he find himself on the periphery of the Hornets' squad when the transfer window opens.

He is yet to make his debut for the Hornets after a £2 million summer move from Anfield, and was close to a deadline-day loan move to the second tier at the end of August.

Despite making the bench for six of the Hornets' 12 Premier League games so far, Stefano Okaka, Isaac Success and even out-of-sorts Odion Ighalo have been favoured by Mazzarri to date.

The source added he still harbours hopes of breaking into the Watford first-team before January, but will entertain offers of a temporary move if it does not materialise.
