Walter Mazzarri believes Stefano Okaka is perfect for the Premier League after the striker's brace fired Watford to a 3-2 win over Everton.

Okaka struggled on his first start for the club in last week's defeat at West Brom but he was a revelation in today's victory at Vicarage Road

Mazzarri said: “Okaka I have known him since he was very young when he used to play for Roma in Italy. He was a great talent and in the summer we had the opportunity to sign him.

"We took the opportunity in the best possible way. I think he is perfect for the Premier League because he doesn’t only help himself but he also helps the other team-mates play football and score.

"As soon as the club had the opportunity to sign him they managed to do it."

Okaka has only recently returned from injury and Mazzarri believes the striker's performance against Everton demonstrated how much sharper he was than against the Baggies.

Mazzarri said: “It’s true but it also shows which I’ve always been saying is that with many injuries unfortunately this is what happens. It takes time for a player when he comes back to recover and to be 100 per cent ready.

"We have already seen the difference between last week and this week with Okaka. He is a very important player and this also shows how important it is not to have these players available."
