Watford striker Jerome Sinclair has been linked with a loan move to Brentford.

The 20-year-old joined the Hornets this summer in a five-year deal from Liverpool but has been a peripheral figure this season.

Sinclair had to wait until last week to make his first start in the defeat at Manchester City.

His only other appearance came as an 89th minute substitute at West Brom this month.

It seems clear Watford see Sinclair as a player with long-term potential but he remains well down the pecking order in Walter Mazzarri's squad.

The forward almost joined Norwich City on loan in August but the move fell through.

A loan switch in the January transfer window would appear to make sense for his development and a number of Championship clubs are likely to be interested in the striker.
