Six years, four months and two days after netting his first goal for Watford in a League Cup tie against Notts County, Troy Deeney became the fifth player in the club’s history to reach a scoring century when he fired the Hornets’ equaliser from the penalty spot past Wayne Hennessey in yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

The 28-year-old’s 50th goal in league competitions at Vicarage Road means he joins Luther Blissett (186), Tommy Barnett (163), Ross Jenkins (142) and Cliff Holton (105) in the club’s century club and leaves him just one short of moving level with Holton (96 league goals) in fourth place on Watford’s all-time list of league scorers.

In reaching three figures, Deeney has scored against 38 different teams – Middlesbrough and Leeds United being his most profitable in numerical terms with six goals against each – with 53 being netted at home, 46 away and one on the neutral turf of Wembley in last season’s FA Cup semi-final defeat against Palace.

The two-time Watford Observer Player of the Season, who is the only player in the club’s history to score 20 goals in three consecutive seasons, needs six more Hornets goals in 2016/17 to reach double figures for the sixth successive campaign.

Below is a breakdown of Deeney’s 100 Watford goals in terms of the teams he has scored against.
