Luton Town have issued a statement in response to some of their fans singing an offensive song about Graham Taylor on Saturday.
Sections of the Hatters' away following at Crewe made insulting chants about Watford's greatest manager two days after his death.
Luton released a statement which said: "As a club we were saddened by the news of Graham Taylor's passing.
"Healthy football rivalries go out of the window at times like this and our travelling fans took part in the period of applause for him on Saturday, although sadly we cannot control every supporter's thoughts.
"Graham did so much good for football and fans always enjoyed our games with his teams. As we said in our message of sympathy last Thursday, our thoughts are with his family at this time."
