Walter Mazzarri dedicated his side's remarkable 2-1 win at Arsenal to Watford legend Graham Taylor.
The Hornets pulled off a shock victory over the Gunners to end their seven-match winless run in the Premier League.
The funeral of Taylor will be held tomorrow and Mazzarri dedicated this evening's stunning win to the club's greatest manager.
Watford head coach Mazzarri said: "I want to dedicate this victory to the great person that was Graham Taylor.
"I wanted to do it before today but I think today was a great game and want to dedicate this victory especially to him and to the fans as well."
Mazzarri has come under intense pressure recently with the side dumped out of the FA Cup by League One Millwall two days ago.
Few could have seen this result coming and it will surely go down as the Italian's finest moment in charge.
Mazzarri said: “It was for sure a great game but I have also had other very important games in my career. I remember one was at home with Napoli against Chelsea but I don’t like to live off remembering the past.
"Now I’m at Watford and this for sure was one of the greatest wins but we also did other ones this season such as against Everton, Leicester City and Manchester United."
