Watford Under-23s suffered a 2-0 home defeat against Charlton Athletic in the Professional Development League this afternoon.
The Hornets fell behind midway through the first half when visiting striker Reeco Hackett-Fairchild netted.
Charlton extended their lead eight minutes into the second half when Karlan Ahearne-Grant finished clinically from close range.
Watford could not find a way back into the match as Harry Kewell's side were beaten 2-0.
Their next game is at Cardiff City on Monday, March 6.
