Whether it's a 'juju curse' or an injury crisis, Watford have lost a lot of days to injury this season, and the extent of their problems has been detailed in a new report from Sky Sports.

The Hornets have lost 1,388 days to injury this campaign, surprisingly not even enough for a top-three finish in the Premier League invalid table - where Watford sit fourth behind Hull City, West Ham and Sunderland.

Long-term injuries to Isaac Success, Stefano Okaka, Nordin Amrabat, Daryl Janmaat, Roberto Pereyra, Mauro Zarate, Costel Pantilimon and Brice Dja Djedje have, to varying degrees, rocked the Hornets during the season, especially around the turn of the year.

Success' struggles with fitness in the early months of his spell at Vicarage Road - notwithstanding the current debate over his condition - were blamed on a 'juju' curse by reporters in Africa.

Sunderland, who visit Vicarage Road on Saturday boasting an injury list including Jan Kirchhoff, Paddy McNair, Duncan Watmore and potentially Victor Anichebe and Lee Cattermole, lead the way on days lost, with their players having racked up 1,761 days on the physio table.

West Brom's squad have been comparatively injury-free during 2016/17, losing only 389 days between them.
