Having missed out on Nigeria's game with Senegal at The Hive through injury, Uche Agbo's return to club football could have gone better as he was sent off in Granada's 4-1 battering by Barcelona.

Agbo picked up two bookings in three minutes towards the end of the second half as Granada were cast further adrift in the La Liga relegation zone, and eight points from safety.

Jerome Sinclair is missing without trace after another week went by without even an appearance on the substitutes bench for Birmingham on Saturday.

Their 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town continued their wretched form under Gianfranco Zola and took their winless run to five games. Sinclair has not even made a matchday squad for the Blues since March 3.

The Dutch title race, featuring Steven Berghuis, seems to be firmly back on after Ajax's 2-1 win over Feyenoord yesterday, in which the on-loan winger played the full 90 minutes at the Amsterdam ArenA.

Berghuis' Feyenoord still top Eredivisie by three points, but have lost two of their last four games.

Despite picking up international caps in both of Venezuela's games over the international break, Adalberto Penaranda still finds himself in exile at Malaga, who lost 2-0 to Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

The highly rated striker has only played 148 minutes of league football since his January move to the Spanish coast, and hasn't featured for his loan side since January 21.

It's the same story for Juan Paredes, too. 87 minutes in Ecuador's 2-1 loss to Paraguay could not convince the Olympiakos heirarchy to include him in the squad for their 2-1 win over Platinias on Saturday.

The right-back was an unused substitute for the second of his country's matches over the break, and his omission is unlikely to be down to fatigue, as he has not played a minute for Olympiakos since March 12.

Mario Suarez missed Valencia's 3-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna, which raises them to 13th in La Liga, with a neck injury.

It was a similar story for Obbi Oulare, whose illness kept him out of Willem II's 2-0 defeat at Utrecht.

Tommie Hoban had to settle for a place on the bench in Blackburn's narrow 1-0 defeat to second-placed Brighton.

Time is running out for Rovers, with the club sitting third-bottom of the Championship with seven games left.
