Steve Cook is on Watford's transfer radar this summer, according to reports in the national press.
The 25-year-old centre-back has been a regular for Premier League rivals Bournemouth for some five years, having originally come through the youth system at Brighton and Hove Albion, and is now attracting the interest of Hornets boss Walter Mazzarri, the Daily Mail reports.
Cook has form as a goalscoring defender with six goals from 70 starts in the Premier League for the Cherries, and he has played every minute of every game during this campaign.
Mazzarri is said to be keen on adding to his current central defensive crop of Christian Kabasele, Miguel Britos, Sebastian Prodl, Craig Cathcart, Adrian Mariappa and Younes Kaboul.
