Valon Behrami will not be kept at Watford this season, head coach Marco Silva has revealed.
The midfielder has spoken during the summer of his desire to leave Vicarage Road and return to Switzerland, his home country, with FC Sion a likely destination.
And Silva, who has made clear he will work with players who want to stay with the club, confirmed he would not play a part in the Hornets' season after his decision.
"Valon is working on the training ground but he’s one player who won’t stay with us," Silva said. "It’s time for him to find other solutions for his career, and we will see where he will play, but he will not stay in our squad."
