Marco Silva has not ruled out making changes for tomorrow night's game with Bristol City, but hinted he would prefer to keep with his in-form line-up for the Carabao Cup tie.

The Hornets have enjoyed a bright start to the season, with four points from their opening two games, but have put in among the most miles of any team in the top flight so far.

With a squad boasting more quality than in recent years, with the likes of Etienne Capoue, Will Hughes and Troy Deeney yet to see a first start, the temptation to make changes against the SkyBet Championship side must be strong for the head coach.

However, as the old adage goes, you never change a winning team - and Silva hinted if his first-choice side were fit enough, they would get another chance to prove themselves in the club's first foray into cup competition this season.

He said: "We’ll see whether we play other players. Now we need to start recovery with the players, and then I’ll take my decisions.

"I will respect Bristol City, that’s my way, to respect everybody, and if everyone who played today isn’t in a great condition I will make the changes I need to."
