The Professional Development League table looks unrecognisable with Watford sitting pretty at the top of the division following a 6-0 thrashing of Hull City last night.

The young Hornets continued where they left off in their opening game with Leeds last week, with Michael Folivi grabbing a brace to make it three in two matches, and Alex Jakubiak, Ashley Charles, Dion Pereira and David Sesay all on target.

In fairness to the Tigers, their starting line-up looked more familiar to followers of their Under-18 side, and was identical to the one which started their win at Coventry City on Saturday.

It was always going to be tough for the young Tigers and after Keane Lewis-Potter missed an early sitter for the hosts, they soon found themselves on the back foot.

Folivi set the tone with a shot he should have scored soon after from Sesay's run, before Pereira did likewis, rolling a shot across the goal-line but wide of the post.

The Hornets could not keep on passing up opportunities, and took the lead with a quarter of an hour played.

Hull goalkeeper Harrison Foulkes' poor pass was pounced upon by Jakubiak, and he rounded the red-faced stopper before slotting home an opener.

He would go close to a second before Folivi saw a shot saved, but they doubled their advantage following a pinpoint through ball from Carl Stewart to the latter, who calmly finished beyond Faulkes.

Charles made things comfortable just after half-time with a free-kick that beat the wall and the goalkeeper, and Jakubiak made it four with an easy finish following good work from Folivi.

Carl Stewart provided another great ball to split the home defence as Pereira latched on to round Foulkes and beat him for a fifth time, before Sesay put the cherry on an already large cake with a deflected sixth from just outside the box.
