It's been a matter of when, and not if, it would be confirmed today, and now it has - Andre Carrillo is Watford's latest summer acquistion.

The 26-year-old winger is reunited with Marco Silva after working with him at Sporting Lisbon, and has signed on a season-long loan after completing his medical and being granted a work permit.

The deal includes an option to buy upon the conclusion of the loan.

Carrillo moves to Vicarage Road from Benfica where he struggled to make a lasting impression on the Portuguese side’s first team, with just three league starts in his only campaign with the club, but did win the Portuguese League title.

His previous five-year stay at Sporting was more productive and saw the 37-cap Peruvian make 133 appearances and win the Portuguese cup in 2015.
