Jerome Sinclair has taken to Twitter to defiantly speak out about a 'one-sided' behind-the-scenes video covering Transfer Deadline Day at Sheffield United, which reveals how close the Blades came to taking the young Watford striker on loan.

The 10-minute long video sees United boss Chris Wilder frustrated after Sinclair's agent, Aidy Ward, reportedly raises the fee he will take from a season-long loan deal, which ultimately renders it unworkable.

It includes footage of Wilder phoning Sinclair on Thursday in an attempt to convince the 20-year-old to swap Vicarage Road for Bramall Lane, with everything seemingly tied up before the late complication.

The video does not paint Ward, who previously instigated Raheem Sterling's infamous transfer from Liverpool to Manchester City in 2016, in the greatest of lights - as Sinclair is said to be sat at Sheffield train station awaiting his next move well into the day.

But the forward himself has now moved to defend his agent, calling Bleacher Report's video "misleading" and saying he was happy to stay at Watford.
