Arsenal are gearing up for an injury crisis Watford would be proud of with three centre-backs likely to be ruled out of their trip to Vicarage Road on Saturday.

The Gunners will definitely be without Shkodran Mustafi, who limped out of Germany's win over Azerbaijan over the weekend.

Calum Chambers has also been absent for some time with a hip problem, and has missed all of the Premier League season so far.

Laurent Koscielny could provide manager Arsene Wenger with some better news, but is also a major doubt ahead of Saturday's clash.

It leaves Wenger with Rob Holding, Per Mertesacker and Nacho Monreal as his only available centre-backs, and all three could feature if he sticks with the 3-4-2-1 formation he has pioneered this season.

He will at least be happy to welcome perennial injury-hit Danny Welbeck back to his squad, and Mezut Ozil's inclusion in full training will not be welcome news for Watford head coach Marco Silva.
