Marco Silva says he is willing to continue rotating Andre Gray and Troy Deeney throughout the season.

Gray has generally got the nod over the Watford skipper this term, but Deeney was chosen to stat the 2-2 draw with West Brom in Watford’s last match.

For Silva, both players have qualities and he will always make his selection based on which striker best suits to opposition Watford are facing.

“We will see. It is a matter of my decision. In the last match we used one player who suited that match,” Silva said.

“They are different profile of players and we knew before the match against West Brom that the style of play they play doesn’t give a lot of space in behind.

“We knew before we will play there that we will have more possession than them and will control the match with the ball. In that type of moment Troy is a different player to Andre.”

Silva also believes Gray and Deeney can play together, as they did late on against the Baggies, and says it is not a case of one playing ahead of the other.

He said: “You can play them together. We finished the West Brom match with them both playing the last 15 minutes. It is one solution we have for our team and we can play it.”
