Wonderkid Juan Camilo Hernandez, who is currently tearing up the Spanish Segunda Division with loan club SD Huesca, has been ruled out of action for four weeks with injury.
Hernandez was forced off in Huesca's 2-0 defeat to Granada last week by the ankle sprain, which will keep him on the sidelines until January.
He missed out on Saturday's 3-1 win over Cordoba through suspension anyway after picking up a fourth yellow card of the season in the previous game.
But he will now sit out the Christmas period as his recovery gets underway - although this will be less felt with a quiet festive calendar in Spain, including only three games before the new year.
A statement from the club read: "'El Cucho Hernandez has a grade 11 sprain in his ankle, an injury that will rule him out for about four weeks.
"He is in physiotherapeutic medical treatment and will return to fitness in January."
Hernandez has shown why he was once tipped as among the 100 hottest talents in world football with his performances this season, scoring nine times and helping Huesca top the second-tier standings.
He is rumoured to be an outside shot for Colombia's World Cup squad next summer, but will have to do a lot to unseat some of their current squad's incumbents.
