Marco Silva felt Watford were unlucky to see a second, and perhaps decisive goal, from Molla Wague ruled out against Swansea City.
The Malian, who netted in the 2-1 win over Leicester City on Tuesday, nodded Tom Cleverley's delivery beyond Lukas Fabianski in this afternoon's game with Watford leading by a goal at the time.
Martin Atkinson blew up for what appeared an innocuous foul as the defender stretched for his header, but the placement of his shot would likely have beaten Fabianski had the whistle gone or not.
Silva said: "I didn’t see much of a foul there. It’s normal contact in the Premier League.
"I also hadn’t seen it until now but it looks like there was a small offside for their first goal. I don’t want to put the excuse on the referee, we should kill the match in the crucial moments."
