Voting has now opened for Watford’s Player of the Season and Goal of the Season awards.

Fans can pick any member of the Hornets squad for their standout performer this season, while a shortlist of 10 strikes has been compiled for the best goal this term.

Abdoulaye Doucoure, who is the Hornets top scorer with seven goals this term, will be among the favourites for the top prize, having stared at the heart of midfield all season.

Adrian Mariappa has also caught the eye with some resolute displays this term but the Graham Taylor Player of the Season award looks to be Doucoure’s for the taking.

The French midfielder could be in line to scoop a double at the club’s awards dinner, with two of his strikes also featuring among the nominees for the season’s best goal.

His effort on the road against Southampton and long-range consolation in the defeat to Huddersfield are in the running for the award.

Supporters have until midnight on Monday, April 30 cast their vote on both categories and can do so by visiting the Watford website.

The winners of both accolades will be announced at the End of Season Awards Dinner, which takes place at Wembley Stadium on Thursday, May 10.
