MMA fighter Charlie Leary says he can’t wait to fight at Wembley Arena in the landmark Bellator 200 event on May 25th.

The Watford fighter will take on fellow heavyweight Tom Green in at the famous venue next Friday in what will be a high water mark in the veteran’s career.

Leary, 35, trains in Watford with Team Crossface and is eagerly anticipating the chance to fulfil an ambition he has held for much of his career as a fighter.

He said: “I honestly can’t wait to fight at Wembley. It’s been over a year since I fought in this country and to fight such at such a great venue on such an amazing card is a dream come true.”

Leary is hopeful of attracting a vocal fanbase to the event and says his training in Watford has helped prepare him for what will be a big occasion.

“Growing up in Watford was great - we had parks, football pitches, playgrounds and all my friends were close by, so it was good times,” he said.

“Now getting to train in Watford is awesome. We have an amazing facility which is just round the corner and it feels like home.”
