Watford fans travelling to every Premier League away game next season will spend shortest amount of time on the road, a study has revealed.
Those making the trip up and down the country by car will travel 4,430 miles throughout the course of the 38-game campaign.
Watford’s locality to London ensures they maintain a low mileage and are joined by Arsenal (4,467) in being the only other side to travel less than 4,500 miles throughout the season.
Tottenham Hotspur (4,500), Chelsea (4,580) and newly-promoted Fulham (4,628) complete the top five for lowest distance travelled.
Unsurprisingly, Newcastle United fans will spend the lengthiest period negotiating the UK’s motorways and A roads with a total of 9,184 miles worth of away day travel.
That total amounts to a longer distanced travelled than a one-way trip to Perth, Australia would see you clock up.
Cardiff City’s journey’s from Wales will see them put 6,858 miles under the bonnet and Liverpool (6.071), Everton (6,151), Brighton (^,292) and AFC Bournemouth (6.678) will also breach the 6,000 mile mark.
