Football League wants supporters views on issues such as diving and goal-line technology

Watford fans have the chance to tell the Football League what needs improving at their club and have they say on issues such as the introduction of goal-line technology and sin-bins.

The Football League Supporters Survey 2010 claims the consaltation will give fans the ‘opportunity to help influence the future of professional football’.

Supporters from all clubs are invited to have their say on subjects such as salary caps and diving, to club-related aspects like ticket prices and whether they ‘feel valued’ by their club.

Football League chairman Lord Mawhinney said: “This is the opportunity for fans to tell us their views on the football they watch.

“The opinions expressed by supporters in our two previous surveys contributed to our thinking as we developed our regulations on agents, our new home grown players rule and our smoke-free policy at matches.

“They have also given clubs a better understanding of what their fans like and dislike about watching football, which has helped the league identify best practice at club level and improve the supporter experience.

“I hope fans to take this opportunity to make a difference, once again.”

More than 40,000 fans took part in the previous two surveys in 2006 and 2008.

Those completing the consaltation this time around can win the chance to see their side train and meet the players. There are also 100 official Mitre Football League balls on offer.
