Watford are still weighing up a move for Everton duo Moses Barnett and John Nolan.
Barnett started his career at Arsenal before moving to Everton and can play at left back or centre back.
The 19-year-old played five games for Darlington during a loan spell earlier this season and has represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 levels.
Nolan, is a 17-year-old midfielder who has been at Everton since he was seven.
Both players are expected to be released by their club in the summer and played for Watford Reserves on Monday night.
A total of five trialists started in the Hornets 9-3 victory against Stevenage Borough - the other three were Padraig Quinn, Ryan James and Rodney McDonald.
Yesterday, Watford manager Malky Mackay said: “We are going to have a look at a couple of them again for another few days and we will discuss it further tomorrow.
“There will be a couple leaving us and a couple who will be staying for another few days.
“There was a lot of work done with our staff in terms of bringing together a lot of youngsters to look at for our Academy and youth set up.”
