Malky Mackay has confirmed Scott Severin is expected to be loaned out again this season despite the former Scotland international recently turning down a move to St Mirren.
Severin spent a loan spell at Kilmarnock last season and is due to be loaned out again because of his desire to play regular first-team football.
Hornets manager Malky Mackay said: "It is an ongoing situation with Scott in terms of there are a couple of teams who have shown an interest in Scott and he wants to play regularly."
The ex-Aberdeen and Hearts skipper has already turned down a move to St Mirren but there are other teams that have expressed an interest in the 31-year-old.
Severin joined Watford on a free transfer last summer but only featured in 11 games before he was shipped out to Kilmarnock in February and Mackay has suggested the Scotsman will not be at the club at the start of the season.
Mackay added: "He is a smashing boy and is a good professional and he is training with us every day but he wants to play regularly so that being the case, there are a few teams who want to take him on loan."
