Hornets midfielder Josh Walker is set to re-join Stevenage on loan and will be followed out of the exit door by centre back Eddie Oshodi, the Watford Observer understands.

Walker joined Stevenage on loan last November but only made two appearances before he was recalled by Watford due to an injury to Stephen McGinn.

The free transfer from Middlesbrough has found first team opportunities hard to come by since his arrival at Watford and spent the second half of last season on loan at Northampton, where he made 19 appearances.

The 22-year-old has made one start and a substitute appearance for the Hornets this season but is well down the pecking order, especially with the arrival of Jonathan Hogg from Aston Villa.

His departure should be confirmed today and there is also expected to be an announcement regarding the future of Oshodi, who we understand looks set to leave Watford for good.

There has been no word from the club yet but the former England Youth captain used social networking site Twitter to say: “Wow, a bit nervous about this big change in my life. It's for the best though, just want to wish everyone good luck and all the best.”

In response to questions from fans, Oshodi later added: “Huge change, sort of a fresh start” and “on route now, lets see what happens.”
