Piero Mingoia is back training with Watford although his loan with Brentford has not officially ended.

Mingoia joined the Bees on a one-month loan on January 5 but he has not been involved in any of Brentford's match-day squads and returned to the Hornets at the start of this week.

The 20-year-old, who scored in Watford Reserves' win yesterday, will not be eligible to play for another side until he has completed 28 days of his loan with Brentford, even if the time is spent at Watford.

Don't sound good! Him back, Brynn not good enough for Bradford and the first thing Johnson done at Yeovil was send our players back! Suppose Walker will be back in wd18 very soon!

Rubbish. Two very different players.PM not strong enough yet. Rj is an estabished player still young and would have progressedfurther already had it not been for injury

It does add a bit of substance to why Dyche hasn't played many youngster this year if they can't make the grade at other lower division clubs, by the way, where is Witchelow at the moment.

My opinion, of which I am entitled to as you are entitled to yours. No need to Rubbish other peoples views. Two different players that can play in the same position. Maybe you view PM as not strong enough because he likes to hold on to the ball and go forward which invites more challenges. RJ is not a forward thinking midfielder and he has not progressed (injury or not) since Jack Cork left. - My opinion.

Really hate when i see Jenkins get abuse you can't have a go at a player and call him rubbish if he never plays, and when i watch him play i still say he is one of our most promising youngsters. As for RJ and PM they play totally different positions RJ plays as a deep lying, tough tackling CM whereas mingoia plays best in my opinion as an attacking wide midfielder

Very worrying that some of our supposedly most promising youngsters have done so poorly on loan this season.
I remind myself that Sordell didn't exactly set the world alight at Tranmere but it is still a concern and probably justifies their exclusion from our squads so far this season.

Agreed, the youngsters don't seem to be doing so well,so therefore not going to get in our first team. Excluding Adam Thompson at Brentford they have all been extremely average at best

How can they make a name if they don't get a chance?
Good to see Jenks has one fan, I think the rest need to be reeducated on how the game should be played

I think the doubt clouds gather over our much lauded acadamy
It's hardly a production line of future prem players ( that they need to be for us to be a successful selling club)

Could also be a case of their attitude?
You just need to see them strutting round the edge of the pitch on matchdays after doing their PR stuff in the Upper Rous hospitality boxes. They look bored and overpaid .... they need to take their chances and Adam T has always been ahead of the rest.

I would agree that Adam T looks good, however if he is going to play at right back I can't see him getting past Hodson who keeps getting stronger and more consistent. Also, Bennett has done himself no harm when he was at Brentford. Another youngster who i am surprised he has no mention is Bond who i thought had a superb confident performance against Bradford and has been involved in Wales and Wales U21 squads at such a young age

My opinion of Mingoia is that he is neither big or strong enough to compete physically at this level which in itself can be worked around if the player is quick (hes not overly quick), skillful (hes no lionel messi) or creative (hes not massively creative). I think Piero will end up forging a career in league 2/conference.

As for slating the rest of the production line. Look at the players we have coming through earning international recognition and talked about in moves to bigger teams. Bond, Thompson, Hoban, Murray, Smith, Mensah. Not to mention 2 players currently having successful loan periods in Massey and Bennett and then the players in or around the first team Jenkins, Hodson, Sordell.

You never know the ability of these kids until they get played incur squad. The likes of mingoia and whichelow may not have suited the style of football the club they were loaned to played. We have to put some excitement in our side, instead of the boring and predictable yeates and Forsyth.

I have to admit his finish was very good against Bradford but he can't really hold the ball up as he's too weak, and i think we also have better options up top

The only way for the youngsters to get better and gain match day experience is to play! We loan out these players and the clubs they go to do not play them. If a club comes in and wants to loan a player then we should insist that they at least give them a fair crack of the whip, not sit them on the bench. Gary Johnsons treatment of Gilmartin was criminal, he sends a player back and then goes and gets another player on loan of the same ilk. If he comes in again for any of our players tell him to shove it!
