Watford boss Sean Dyche confirms the Hornets are looking to bring players in on loan

Watford are looking to make loan signings now the window is open and manager Sean Dyche has revealed they did miss out on a few previous targets.

The Hornets were always likely to strengthen their squad when the loan window opened on Wednesday, especially after Marvin Sordell left for Bolton Wanderers moments before the previous window closed.

Dyche confirmed: "Yes we are looking to bring people in. Some of our targets from before the window opened are no longer available though.

"It is a flexible process, as it has been all season. We will look to bring players in accordingly."

When asked if the club were looking to make more than one signing, Dyche replied: "Maybe but it has to be the right person at the right time for the right fee. So all those things need to come together.

"It is all to do with the demand of the squad and the demand has been there recently because of the two wins.

"But it is about demand, not just results. We have to monitor performances, players' fitness, injuries and other factors, as well as the results."

OMG...going back to the news article....whats wrong with pushing our youngsters?. Last seasons deputants proved their worth in this league. A year older stronger and wiser, yet where have they been. Obviously, not much future for our own it seems.
......Nice one Dychie. not.

It's called adrenaline and low expectations.

Watford fans always need to find a boo-boy (clearly yours is the manager, for now) and youngsters come in, and put in good performances. Then, with time, fans' expectations increase and eventually the slightest mistake is scrutinized and the blame for a loss is put solely on a kid's shoulders. Hodson last year, Mariappa a few before that spring to mind.

Yes, in an ideal world our lads would be in the first XI every week but when one of our brightest prospects Matty Whichelow gets sent home after 3 games in a struggling League One side you have to ask yourself if he was really your saviour all along, or if you're expecting too much too soon as you get ready to spend an entire Saturday afternoon whinging at him.

Hey I've loved the tradition of Watford
But Would welcome With open arms anyone that could really invest in our club
And why Wilkins? Has the Udinese guy in bed with Vialli?
One thing I'm sure that if there was a decent offer made, Bas as a self announced Businessman would take it, why wouldn't he?
And before you lot start going mad, this us all a rumour and one if founded could give us a real tangible spark of hope.

Your on to it corbindallas. Why would our Lord Ashcroft do business with a 2007 Bankrupt without cast iron assurances from some where! It just doesn't make sense. Especially when he knows the guy has changed his name!!!
Whats the name of Bassini's Company/ companies.ashcroft would not have done the deal without some confidence or does he feel that the club will revert back to him if he falters on the loan so its no risk to him.
I'm intrigued

Just that wilkins has a high profile in Italy, (speaks Italian), is out of a job, was well liked and respected by players at Chelsea, knows Watford, has a good reputation coaching young players, Etc.

Interesting that Pozzo has medical interests; wasn't there a medical consultant involved originslly on behalf of Bassini? maybe the health campus project appeals to him? See http://www.udinese.i
t/ENG/udinese_per_la
_vita.php Also, possibly the Academy because he has done well by selling players on at a big profit?

I don't think many would agree with that, but nice sidestep!

Wilkins has been a failure at every club he has been at, QPR sacked, Fulham sacked, Palace sacked, Chelsea sacked & lets not forget WFC AM sacked. I would rather have AB back than that loser.

Whilst this conjecture is not unreasonable it is very likely that Lord A has clauses in the agreement such that default on loan repayment means that ownership automatically reverts to Fordwat.

So, the only risk is that he may be back to where he was at takeover with the benefit of any payments already made.

Ray Wilkins, is probably the 2nd worst managers I can think of and it is tight for last place with Bertie Bassett, why Sky Sports even give him air time on telly to give his opinion is a joke he can't even speak properly it sounds like he is fighting to make a sentence all the time, but I digress. If or should that be IF this has any legs I would not be surprised if it is not already with the current set up as their are common links already, Bassini a bankrupt who all of a sudden has lot's of money, a surgeon as a named coordinator, an Italian interested party that wants to delve into the UK football scene and has links with the medical profession, but also has a cloudy background with match fixing thus may have not past muster with the leagues finance scrutiny and the original take over approval from the Lord and co??? The plot thickens. Does he have loads of money and does he invest well with his two current clubs? If yes, please step forward and make yourself know!
