Lutondown I find your and many of your fellow anti LB brigades posts these last two days hilarious. Many of you are jumping up and down with joy at LB selling up yet your main complaint about him (that wasn’t totally made up that is) was that he was an ex bankrupt.

Well Lutondown, and Buckler et al, Pozzo has on at least two occassions been implicated in football related financial/betting scandals. Three if you include the still developing scandal that is currently rocking Italian football (corruption is so ingrained in Italian football by all accounts that they are seriously considering suspensing all professional football for three years as the only means of getting the game clean there). One of the scandals led to Udinese having points deducted and getting relegated and the other led to him resigning his position as chairman (possibly being made to resign).

In reality the worst that can be levelled at LB and his 15 months of ownership is that he has been naïve. Some would say that being naïve is far better than being corrupt.

As to LB not being what he was cracked up to be, let me see…. put money into the club to cover shortfall between income and expenditure. Check. New pitch. Check. Re open Red Lion. Check. Work about to commence on ground. Check. Invested in team. Check. Invested more than expected in team. Check. Hmm, LB appears to have indeed been all that he said he would be so why the need to apologise for him exactly?

Stop being delluded, now UNLIKE SOME I'm open minded and will judge Pozzo on what he does at and for WFC but Lutondown and co stop being childish and throwing insults at people who have a differing opion to yours.
I don't think you will ever get any sense from them, not once have I had a proper answer to their anti Bassini stance because as we know there is no reason to their debate. The asking for a apology because they were right about Bassini will only be given once they can prove Bassini actually has done something wrong to Watford Football club, yet again he has not apart from not turning up to a open forum and even then he was ill so don't see what else he could have done.As for selling the club even then if it is in the best interest for Watford and he makes money ot of it so what, Watford FC is a business always will be, that is not a reason to be anti Bas as whilst owner he has invested in players, staff, equipment and the ground that is all any fan can ask a owner to do and he has done it.
    Things will materialise soon enough.
Bas may not be the golden boy you think he is
Now run along Tony, tht cucumber sandwich waits you.
Corby, for a cop your pretty dumb"

Watford confirm directors agree 'in principle' to sell to Udinese and Granada owners the Pozzo family

Watford have released a statement confirming the club’s board of directors have agreed a deal, “in principle” to sell the Hornets to the Pozzo family.

The family behind the Italian side Udinese and Spanish club Granada have been in advanced negotiations with Watford regarding a possible sale.

And Watford have in the last few minutes released a statement on the pending takeover.

It read: “The board of directors, acting on behalf of Watford Football Club, is pleased to confirm that agreement has been reached in principle for the transfer of ownership to the Pozzo family.

“Representatives from the family have been in discussions with Watford Football Club and both parties have agreed initial terms.”
