Former Napoli coach Adolfo Sormani is set to become Gianfranco Zola's assistant at Watford.
IamNaples.it are reporting Sormani left his position at Napoli after his contract expired on June 30 and that he will be become Zola's assistant at Vicarage Road.
Watford have yet to confirm Zola's appointment despite quotes from owner Gianpaolo Pozzo on Monday which stated the former Chelsea forward would be taking charge of the Hornets.
Sormani started his playing career at Napoli and played for a host of Italian clubs, including spells at Parma, Avellino and Sambenedettese.
The 46-year-old has been coaching for a decade and after three years at Juventus, joined Napoli in 2011.
