Watford considering new shirt sponsor instead of The Happy Egg Company

Watford considering new shirt sponsor Watford considering new shirt sponsor

Watford are considering replacing The Happy Egg Company as shirt sponsor despite only announcing the deal less than a month ago.

The Hornets agreement with the egg distribution firm was announced on June 22 - a week before the Pozzo family's takeover was complete.

But the Watford Observer understands the Hornets' new regime are keen to find a new kit sponsor and the club believe they can now attract a more lucrative offer.

We believe talks between the two parties are at an early stage and it is unclear whether the possibility of The Happy Egg Company becoming 'club sponsor' has been proposed.

The Happy Egg Company are based nearby in Tring and their boss, Peter Dean, is a long-standing Watford fan.

Dean has had a box at Vicarage Road for more than ten years and sponsors one of the end of season awards.

Joe Garner Both The Happy Egg Company and Watford refused to comment on the matter when approached by the Watford Observer this week.

The company's logo was not included on Watford's shirts during Tuesday night's game at Boreham Wood.
