Veteran Italian striker Vincenzo Iaquinta has rejected a move to Watford, according to his agent.
Iaquinta, 32, spent seven years at Udinese before joining Juventus in 2007 but is now surplus to requirements.
The Pozzos attempted to sign the experienced striker for Watford but he has turned down the switch.
"He rejected the offer from Watford. As for the rest, it’s all pretty static at the moment," agent Alessandro D’Amico said.
"Hamburg? There were a few contacts, but nothing more. In Italy we are waiting to see what will happen in the next few hours."

Might we go back with a better offer. Him and another Goalie and we are "sorted"

Win lose or draw, let's get behind the club and let's increase attendances ! This is the biggest short term impact anyone has had on our club thus far with the long term committment. Having looked at the atmosphere at Granada on YouTube, we the fans need to raise our game so these chaps don't think we play in a real vicarage !!
was at the game tuesday night and it was awful but has not deterred me from going to get a season ticket for the rookery.
used to have one but only get to get to about 10-12 games a season as I work in the wedding business and tend to be busy on Saturdays.
Good luck at Derby Hornets and get behind the Hornets !!

Ironic we have all these players but actually don't seem to have a striker fit or that good albeit I agree Big Chris did well against the Blues.

What a lot of moaners on here. I am 73 and travelled from Kent for a treat as it was only a fiver to get in. What a difference to hoof ball, with mainly a second 11 out there I saw some slick passing on the ground and some spot on long passes. Oh! I wish I could afford to see our first 11 gel, we are in for a great season once we are in gear. Yes, I am an ex ball boy. Yes, my first game I watched was 1950, PNE 3rd round, I even predicted the score in the replay at PNE 1-0 to the 'blues. Yes I was steward on trains and coaches. Yes, I cycled from Watford to Gillingham age 14. Yes, I was there when we stuffed Soton on that heady night. Yes I saw the original Ross on his debut and I thought what the hell has GT bought :-) Now look at us, a new regime, it bodes well for the future of WFC if only I could afford to be at every game I would. So stop moaning lets hear the Rookery of old, totally behind the ORNS, lets hear you guys PLEASE
Must if seen you as I was always on the solitary coach ( keen days) that went to every northern outpost. Think the stewards of he SC were Roger Flemming, Steve Kitchen and I also remember Geordie Wilf who sat at the top of the old Supporters club.
So those on here who witter on about the so called Watford way, have not been around to see the many facets that actually has.
Like you Keith seen some real poor teams and managers, seen owners come just to bleed us dry, seen real fans such as Elton come and help realise their own dreams.
So I can only conclude that this is a good thing, financially secure, the prospect of football played as an entertainment and a very bright future.
Who really gives a **** what nationality they are?
I do note those who do not like this revolution are the Johnny come latelys, that don't really know what they want. For surely they can't prefer our recent past, can they...?

You are demonstrating yor age, George Kirby signed Ross Jenkins in 1972.
Vicenzo Iaquinta knows he would be down the order because Troy Deeney would hit him on the training field.

Some really don't appreciate how lucky we are with this takeover and the security that it brings. These guys have football in their blood, they are here for the long term and have already showed intent beyond our wildest dreams. If promotion does not happen this season or next we will still have owners that have not got a history of walking away from any projects to date and will carry until they reach the objective of establishing us as a top tier club.
We have a manager regarded as the best player to ever grace the premiership and now have a squad full of multi million pound talent.
So any stay away fans, get on board now and be part of what will be another amazing journey in the history of WFC.
