Watford defender Neuton is to undergo a scan on his foot tomorrow after Gianfranco Zola confirmed he will miss Saturday’s game with Peterborough United at Vicarage Road.
The Brazilian was hobbling around the club’s London Colney training ground today on crutches, wearing a protective boot, after sustaining the injury in training on Tuesday.
It was confirmed yesterday that the on-loan Udinese player had twisted his ankle but Zola revealed this lunchtime there is also a potential problem with his toe.
The Hornets boss said: “Tomorrow morning we have another scan to confirm. It looks like he’s got something in his toe. We don’t know exactly what it is. It might be a little bruise or it might be a little fracture. Tomorrow we will know more about that.”
