Key points
• Watford secure 1-0 victory thanks to a late penalty from substitute Matej Vydra.
• Chalobah hit post and Forestieri had effort cleared off the line as the Hornets took charge after the break, although Boyd directed a clear header straight at Almunia.
• Game was scoreless after a first half of few chances. Pudil went closest for Watford with a free-kick from a tight angle that clipped the crossbar.
• Gianfranco Zola made two changes from side that lost against Middlesbrough. Doyley returned for injured Neuton and Forestieri replaced Vydra. Nosworthy and Ekstrand were also ruled out with injuries.
