Watford are currently losing 1-0 to Bolton Wanderers after a howler from Manuel Almunia led to Jermaine Beckford opening the scoring.

The Hornets have not created many clear-cut chances but they have played reasonably well, with Fernando Forestieri the Golden Boys’ stand-out performer.

Bolton have posed problems out wide and it was a cross from Neil Danns on the right which led to the only goal of the game so far on 27 minutes. The cross went straight to Almunia but the veteran fumbled the ball and Beckford slid in to score.

Nyron Nosworthy has impressed on his first outing since March 16 and he had an acrobatic volley go over.

George Thorne. Making his first competitive appearance since January, fired over from distance and fellow loanee Josh McEachran had two shots from inside the area blocked.

Watford’s best chance came via Forestieri when he shot narrowly wide after a one-two with Javier Acuna.
