Two goals in the space of four minutes for Bolton Wanderers ensured Watford went into half-time 2-1 down at the Macron Stadium this afternoon.
Odion Ighalo’s 12th goal in eight league games midway through the first half handed the Golden Boys the lead somewhat against the run of play.
But Zach Clough equalised from close range when referee Geoff Eltringham ignored the offside flag from his assistant as Liam Feeney ran through to cross.
And four minutes later and four minutes before the interval Bolton took a deserved lead when Adam Le Fondre beat Gabriele Angella to a cross from the left to stab home.
